Re: CoD7

Activision has announced they don't have high hopes for CoD7.

http://www.computerandvideogames.com/ar ... ?id=234460

What he says makes sense for the most part. There is a lot more competition this year and Treyarch doesn't have the popularity (neither does IW at the moment). But what he fails to mention is that the success of a sequel (direct or indirect) depends on the game before it. Why was MW2 successful? Because CoD4 was amazing (WaW isn't the major sequel to CoD4). But CoD7 has MW2 as its major predecessor, and tons of people are upset over what IW did. Sure many people bought MW2, but most people now regret the decision, and as a result, the impact will be felt on CoD7's sales.

Re: CoD7

Agreed. I certainly do not envy Treyarch's position.

Re: CoD7

We can always hope, and if they provide better support, it would be ironic as they are the original console development guys.

Re: CoD7

Well after the hard time the community gave treyarch over world at war I see this as a chance for them to leapfrog IW , all they have to do is build a solid foundation with dedicated servers and stay clear of gimmicky killstreaks. they certainly have the talent , zombies and the map packs proved they have abillity and they have hired a few more PC modders since , that and the fact that JD2020 seems able to actually communicate without Bobby Koticks hand up his ass , then again the money is in the 360 and if Actiblizzard say jump..... well we all know the rest. As I said before tho we where all blindsided and totally shocked with IWNET and the P2P announcement so dont count on MOH having anything until its officially announced !!!!

Awesome era, it deserves better than just amateurish mods.

WW1 would be one hell of a campfest.
